The City of Bradenton Recreational facility was originally designed by Ward Northrup and opened for play in 1987. River Run was redesigned by Azinger - Lewis in 2005 and went through a major renovation of greens and tees during the summer of 2005.  

The enhanced 18 hole par 70 layout offers a wide variety of challenges for players of all ages and experience levels. River Run offers a unique combination of affordability and challenging golf. Every tee, fairway, and green is laid out to specifically enhance your enjoyment of the game.

Over the years River Run has established itself  as one of the Gulf Coast's most popular municipal golf courses. Amenities include a fully stocked pro shop and snack bar. Rental clubs are also available. River Run Golf Links also caters to outing and tournament groups, accommodating from 24 to 144 players. Golf instruction is also available from our in-house golf professionals.
